White Rock Center of Hope


	Feeding a Good Cause - February 1, 2011 Through employee donations, Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake collected more than 300 pounds of food and $150 in monetary donations during its recent food drive for The White Rock Center of Hope. Food drive coordinators Beth Issacs, a 30-year hospital employee, and Gary Gulledge, a seven-year hospital employee, loaded up donations to deliver to The White Rock Center of Hope on the last day of January. The White Rock Center of Hope, a community coalition whose members provide emergency aid, works to help community members in need take steps toward self-sufficiency. 	EDN Helps the Community - January 13, 2011 The members of East Dallas Networking (EDN) presented Ted Beechler of White Rock Center of Hope with a charitable donation of $500. Prior to accepting EDNs donation, Mr. Beechler took a few minutes to read from a letter received from a client White Rock Center of Hope recently served. The writer describes a meal their family had the previous night, prepared with items from a stocked pantry that was bare only a few days earlier. Mr. Beechler was at times emotional speaking of the work that he, a few employees, and hundreds of volunteers do for our less fortunate neighbors. It was with heartfelt gratitude that he accepted EDNs donation of $500. And it was with an even greater sense of gratitude that we offer our donation, to honor those that help make East Dallas such a wonderful place to be.
